Hi, folks: I'm going through the process of setting up my new R5 Mk II. I'd love to be able to assign a button to enable/disable pre-continuous shooting, but I know that's not possible yet. (Hopefully in a future firmware update it will be.) Based on comments people have made, I thought that assigning the DOF preview button to My Menu, where I have pre-cont. shooting registered, would be a quick solution.
However, I can't seem to find a way to set the button to go directly to My Menu. There's an option for Menu, but what that does is just bring up the most recent menu looked at, whatever the tab. So I'm wondering, is there a way to assign the DOF button to go DIRECTLY to My Menu so I can quickly enable/disable pre-cont. shooting?
Thanks in advance!

If you say that it can’t be done, then I’ll take your word for it.
In fact, I doubt if it will could be added in a future firmware update. You have to take the camera’s current operating mode into consideration.
You wish would mean changing the camera from one mode to another, perhaps shooting to menu. I’m unaware of any controls that change the camera operating mode.

I suppose I can take the approach that I'm usually only messing with menu settings when I'm at home and setting things up; when out shooting I use the Q button. So, I could just make sure that I select My Menu prior to shooting, and then I can access it immediately and toggle pre-cont. shooting. My main reason for wanting to do this is that as a lot of other people pointed out, having pre-cont. always on will result in an absurd amount of images.
