R5 Mark II user manual in PDF form

ImLMHK

Hi All,

I just received my new Canon EOS R5 Mark II and I am totally psyched!

I like to download the user manuals for my cameras and file them away. The digital form also allows me to take the manual with me and to read it when time allows.

But I can't find the digital version of the manual for theR5 Mark II anywhere on the Canon site. The manual PDF's are usually found on the product support page (in this case, https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/eos-r5-mark-ii).

There is a button on that page for the manual, but it leads nowhere.

Can someone please point me to the pdf version of the R5 Mark II user manual?

Thank you!

Mary

If you want the PDF then this is the link to the one on Canon's website.

That's exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much!

There is also an AF settings guide on the Canon Inc website. So far I've only found the HTML version though.

That's really helpful too. Thank you!

Now the bigger question is why the file for the guide is locked. This is ridiculous. Is Canon afraid that Nikon will steal their secrets?

Thank you!

All the Canon user guides are locked. They allow printing, but not extraction of the graphics or text.

I did check a recent Nikon PDF and they are the same, except for some allow the text to be extracted for accessibility.

So this means that if I want to highlight text, I first have to print all 1200+ pages and then I can highlight it?
Sorry Canon, it's 2025, we don't want to destroy our planet... Annotating a PDF or highlighting text is the minimum, be a little smarter than Nikon!
