Programmes not responding correctly on my Canon EOS 650D (Rebel T4i)

I own a canon EOS 650D or Rebel T4i. I took it for repairs because it’s flash was not firing and was told that I need to change the board for the flash so I took back the camera as I thought I may use my flashgun instead. I discovered that after the repair-person examined my camera, when I shoot on [P] (programme), camera indicates 30”. Pressing the shutter button, it clicks but the shutter remains open for those 30 seconds. This is also happening when set on [AV]. The camera only seems to operate on [A] (auto) which will focus where it deems best, on [M] (manual) and on [TV]. The only time it works correctly is when I don’t use the eye-piece but shoot photos by touching the screen. Has anyone ever experienced this situation which is very frustrating. I am not going back to the same repair person as I’m sure he disconnected something on purpose, unless he damaged my camera during inspection.

Any Canon brand speedlite ending in “EX” & EL-1 & EL-100 will be compatible. Other EL series are NOT COMPATIBLE. Example speedlite models would be for instance 220EX430EX III-RT, 580EX 600EX-RT. It doesn’t matter if it supports off camera capabilities if you’re only using it on camera. Older model Speedlites those released before 2007. DO NOT SUPPORT the in camera flash. They still work though. Just not the camera menu though. The camera menu will show particular settings as grayed out or missing. But those settings can be set on the speedlite itself. Below is an example of what older speedlites display.
