My Canon Eos Rebel T5, wont let me take a picture and is showing ERROR #20

My camera is only a month old. I have taken just a few pictures. It is now showing me ERROR #20. Turn off camera or remove battary. Neither of these methods are working. HELP!!

If it's a month old call Canon; let them take care of it.

And, changing the battery will not work.  

Error 20 is a mechanical malfunction code. More often than not it will require service.  Return it, today.
