Is there a way to record with my T5 AND view the live footage on a MacBook simultaneously?

I can't figure out how to film with my T5, and have the footage be shown on my MacBook while I film, since, on my camera, the screen isn't mobile, and is stuck in the camera, so there is no way to see if I'm focused, or in frame, etc. Help would be wonderful, I'm desperate, thank you!

You need to see if EOS Utility will do that for you, but I doubt it.

It might be best to buy a small HDMI monitor, that will let you put the screen anywhere you want.

The EOS Utility manual talks about shooting movies in "remote live view mode" so it looks like it will do what you want.
