I updated my R5s to firmware 1.5.1 in M mode instead of P mode.

Experienced a "senior moment" and updated the firmware in both of my R5s while in Manual mode instead of P mode. I don't see any problems, but I thought I should ask you learned folks for your opininons. Thanks for any advice offered.

I can't see any reason why this would make a difference. I have updated my cameras in whatever mode they happen to be in. According to my understanding, the process to upgrade firmware engages in the BIOS stack way below where a user will choose an operational mode, and thus that mode is irrelevant.

You can always backup your cam settings to your card. I've done a lot of custom settings so I made a backup to my CF Express card.

my "senior moment" -> remembering that I formatted my card and lost my backup cam file. Should copy that to my computer to have an off-camera copy as I format my card frequently.
