Here's what Amazon says.

Your camera isn't listed. I recall an earlier nthread with a third party flash where it also wasn't compatible with later model Rebels.

That is just an old list. Note that the same model is compatible with Canon, Nikon and Olympus cameras. Note, too that the picture shows only the one hot shoe contact, none of the additional pins that Canon uses to talk to the flash. This is a manual only flash that does no communcation with the camera for exposure control.

I'll return this one.  Can anyone recommend an inexpensive ring flash for macro that IS compatible?
