I have a cannon rebel xs andI cannot see my pictures. please help. it was working before.

I have used my camera to take pictures and it was working fine.  Now I take pictures, the flash goes off but when I try to see the pictures it is a black page.  I am sure it is not the lighting but I dont understand why.

Have you accidently set it to Tv mode with a very high shutter speed?
