I can view my pics with the SD card in the camera but not in the computer,why?

Need to supply more information. Do you mean computer doesn't recognize camera so you can't download photos?

Explain exactly what you are doing.

Most likely you are taking your photos in a RAW format, which generates a CR2 file. You may need to download the CODEC for your computer to display those files.
