How long before Canon releases a "Mark II"
I see the R5 was announced in July of 2020, while the R5 Mk II was announced in July of 2024.
The R6: Announced July 2020, R6Mk II: Announced Nov of 22 (less than 2.5 years!)
I am interested in an R7, but that was announced in June of 2022...
Of course, there might not be any refresh of the APS-C sized cameras...

There's no set formula, but some past observations.
1-series cameras EOS-1D and R1 - Olympics timing every 4 years
5-series - every four years typically includes 5D DSLRs and R5
6-series - seems like around 2 or three years
We only have R7 so far, but 7D DSLRs were 2009 then 2014 so 5 years
Often lower models in the range are refreshed every year, so if anything we are a little late for the EOS R10 successor and maybe EOS R50 too.
