How do you turn off the "AF red assist beam" when taking photos for the Canon EOS M10?

Can't find any option to turn it on/off

Do I need to connect the camera to a utility on my coputer and disable it?

Once again, when I click on the shutter button to take a pic, this red flash light comes on and I don't want that to come on

Thanks

It could also be red eye reduction. Which light are you talking about?
