The Rebel XT is an old unit and has no camera capability for connectivity to this unit

Not only that, there is no live view, so it is literally impossible.

Hold on there a minute buckaroos!

I am not an iphone expert but perhaps there is a way if you find the correct cable. It is possible to tether the XT to a computer. It may be possible with Lightroom Mobil to do the same with your iphone. Again I am not an expert on iphones nor have I tried to do it.

Nice try, Ernie.  But the guys are correct.  The camera body is too old.  It is from an entirely different era of computer technology and hardware.  The problem is the Camera Connect app on mobile devices do not use a USB connection.  The communication is always wireless, either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.

You can remotely take an image, but you can't preview it.
