Hello not new to photography but new to digital Rebel XT

Hi Everyone, I just purchased a Canon Rebel digital XT on eBay for $27.00😁👍 I have some what taught myself to take pictures. I have a 35mm Rebel already. What I was wondering is I usually print my digital pictures from my phone or tablet at Walgreens but can I transfer pictures to my phone or tablet?? I don't have a PC What do I need to be able to do that. My tablets are Samsung and my phone is a Motorola

I am an iPhone user, but I think Android devices use USB-C connectors.

Something like this should work:

Thank you 😊 my uncle is printing a manual out for me.... How do I do the transfer? Or will that be in the manual?

You would remove the card from the camera and plug it into the appropriate slot in the device. Then plug the device into your phone. Typically the photos app will open automatically. If not check your phone manual.
Be careful inserting the card in the camera. You don’t want to bend the pins. It’s rare, but it can happen.

LadyRae79,

I have a Samsung tablet too.

This is the way I handle transfers:

Your manual should tell you if your XT will support any USB Cable, and which one Canon recommends. Since it is an accessory, these are sold separately.

If you are able get one, it will have a USB port on the end of the cable, so you will have to buy an OTG, or On The Go cable to plug that USB Cable into the charging port on your tablet.

I personally use an app called Camera Connect and Control to handle the transfer. It's a paid app that you can get on Google's Play Store. The app sits on your Google Account, which means you can use it on multiple Android devices.

Once you get the cables connected, turn on your camera. Your tablet will ask you which app you want to use to handle the images. Choose the Camera Connect and Control app.

PS: I would check first to make sure that your XT is supported by the CCC app before you invest any money in it.
