My Canon EOS Rebel T100 won’t take photos with the LCD monitor on. I’ve scrolled through settings and looked everywhere, but I haven’t found a solution. It’ll take a photo with the viewfinder, but if I switch to LCD monitor it just makes the sound of taking a photo, yet doesn’t actually take it. Please help!!

I'd also recommend resetting the camera to its default settings while testing.

This sounds like you have the AF method set to Quick mode in the 4th tab of the red shooting menus.
Wet quick mode is selected and you are using Live View - so the screen on the back shows the image before you capture it. Then half pressing the shutter makes the mirror drop - which sounds like the shutter fires, the live view switches off, the camera focuses and then the mirror lifts up restoring live view. You have to press the shutter button down fully to take the picture.
