I have a broken EOS M50 Mark II
I noticed that my M50 mark ii comes on sometimes, and it doesn't at other times. I have tried getting new batteries, cleaning the metal part of the battery with alcohol, yet it doesnt work. I noticed again that sometimes, when I insert the battery, the camera doesn't come on, but when I press down the shutter button, the camera comes on, and waits for a while before going off again.
Please, who has experienced this before, and what can I do?

Hi brodunayo,
I'm sorry to hear your EOS M50 Mark II isn't powering on. Since this is happening with multiple batteries they likely aren't the cause. The next thing we would recommend would be to load a different memory card in the camera. Sometimes if a card is malfunctioning it can prevent the camera from powering on correctly. If that doesn't resolve the issue then we would recommend attaching a different lens. Sometimes if there is a short in the lens it can cause issues like this. Swapping each piece one at a time can help narrow down which may be the cause.
If the camera still isn't powering on after checking those things at that point we would recommend sending the camera in for repair.

I am surprised the EOS M50 Mark II is still serviceable but whatever any way I would recommend you look at a new R series camera in favor of spending a substantial amount on your EOS M50 Mark II. Get an estimate first.
