EOS 250D & Tamron Lens: Oddness in some photos not others.

Greytnutter

Been using my Canon EOS 250D with a Tamron 16-300mm F/3.5-6.3 lens.

setting A+

Took photos indoors and outdoors and got this pink/green colouring I’ve never seen before. Other photos taken in the same space just seconds later are fine. I would love to hear what might have happened as it’s affected loads of the photos.

I know it’s a basic setting. Just getting to know the camera. TIA

The purple and green fringing is what’s called “Chromatic Aberration”. This changes depending on how the lighting is. Then also how reflective the surface is. Have you tried a Canon lens to see if it has this high level of CA.

Easy to find out if you have raw files to share, but I don't know if your camera can save raw files when you shoot in A+.

You're not going to get to know much about the camera and photography in A+ Mode. It's for shooting without thinking and learning.

Use the camera in P-Mode. See if you get the same problem.

It is likely a variation in lighting that's causing it.

Do you have the manual for the camera? If not, download it from Canon and read it. There are also lots of books available at Amazon....look for EOS 250 D and its US name, Rebel SL3.
