EOS 1100D Help with exposure compensation in manual mode with auto ISO

I've been using a Canon 1100D for the last few months as my first camera, and I've learned quite a bit in this time.

Until recently, I've been using mostly Av and Tv modes with auto ISO, and I wanted to try shooting in manual with auto ISO. However, I there's something I haven't found how to do and it's preventing me from fully enjoying this mode:

With AV and TV with auto ISO, I use the dial to control the selected parameter, and if I press the +/- button and move the dial, I select exposure compensation, for those cases where the camera's metering is not what I need.

However, when I set the camera to manual with auto ISO, that +/- button is the one used to change the dial's behaviour from shutter speed to aperture, and therefore I lose control of exposure compensation.

Is there any way to control exposure compensation in manual mode with auto ISO? I don't want to switch to fully manual, at least in many occasions where the changing light conditions would make me devote too much attention to ISO.

I hope it's something that has a solution, but so far I haven't found it.

Thank you!

From memory I don’t believe the EOS 1100D / Rebel T3 camera supports auto ISO with manual exposure

Grettings,

I believed the same and had to verify.  Seems Auto ISO is supported in M with a default ISO range of 100-6400 unless you modify the range.

See page 78 on the user guide.

Thanks for the clarification, but I realised I answered the wrong question that was originally posted.

Ultimately this means that yes auto ISO can be used with manual exposure.

But the original question was about using exposure compensation with manual exposure and auto ISO, page 101 of the manual specifically says that exposure compensation is not possible to use with manual exposure.
