Canon 5D Mark 4 will not record on both disks

My Canon 5D Mark Four will not record on both disks.  I can put one disk in at a time and it works.  I have tried formatting both disks and reset  the camera to factory defaults

To make it clear, with two cards in the camera, you can choose which card to use, or choose to record on BOTH cards at the same time.

Something that occurs to me whenever I see basic questions like this, especially from inexperienced users with top-of-the-line camera models, is that they have not at least browsed the manual cover-to-cover to see all the wonderful info that is in it (even just the table of contents and index). Exploring ALL the menus to see all the functions and settings there are is a good idle-time endeavor also. There's a LOT to learn to take advantage of the capabilities of a digital camera like a 5D Mk IV.. Get to know what your camera can do, even if you don't think you need "all that stuff".

I'm still learning about all the functions of my EOS 60D and 6D.
