My RC-6 little remote can fire my R5C to take a photo, but I can't get it to start recording when the camera is in video mode. Can't find any menus that enable/disable the remote. Anybody know? Thanks

Greetings ,

The RC-6 is not able to start and stop video in cinema OS.  It can however be used for still image photography as you discovered.

Got it. Know a way to remotely hit that record button? The EOS app?

Thanks.

Greetings,

Unfortunately, native Wi-Fi support is not provided in cinema OS on this model.  Here are a few ways to trigger remote recording,  All of these methods require additional hardware.  One is to use an external recording device like an Atmos Ninja V+.  Another would be a gimbal with a cable.  The WFT-R10A can also be used with Browser Remote.
