Can I get 'Live View" from my camera to my monitor?

Can I get "Live View" with my monitor as I do with my television? I have a 550D and I use a HDMI cable from my camera to my TV. Is there a way to do this somehow maybe by changing settings or with software?

Hi hunter08,

Thanks for posting!  As long as the monitor has an HDMI input, you should be able to connect the camera to the monitor and see what you would see when you connect the camera to your TV.  There are no special settings that need to be changed to be able to do this.
