AGC (Automatic Gain Control) of the Canon EOS Rebel T2i/550D

Is there any way to disable this? I've checked YouTube and googled and apparently there are all kinds of crazy hacks to achieve this, but I am not wiring up my camera to my toaster with crocodile clips or downloading 3rd party firmware that uses the Erase button for menu navigation... There must be an easier way! Anyone?

I've gone through the source materials and regret that there is no direct method to enable the camera to operate in this manner.  I am sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause you.
