About a month ago I was taking pictures of the moon. I was able to zoom in on the touch screen live view image so that I could really get an accurate focus on the moon. I was able to touch the moon when zoomed in on live view and it focused, then I could take the picture. I tried doing it the other night and was unable to. I could zoom in on live view, but when I touched the screen to focus, it did not do it. Does it have to be a canon lens? The first time was using a canon lens. This last time I was using a Tamron lens. Both are autofocus. I have continunous focus enabled. I am able to use touchscreen focusing when live view is NOT zoomed in, but it does not work when live view is zoomed in. Maybe I'm mistaken and didn't use touch screen autofocussing when I was zoomed in the first time. I don't know.
