When will we FINALLY see the RF 11-24 or RF 10-24 (I’ve seen both mentioned interchangeably)

The release of the Rf 10/11-24 ultra wide angle lens has been teased now for a couple years. Is there any info on anyone has that can pinpoint more accurately a release date? I am looking forward to emptying my bank account or selling my house to buy this lens 😀. Thanks.

Your guess is as good as ours.  I gave up and bought the excellent 14-35L f/4, which is a brilliant optic and have enjoyed shooting with it - as a normally telephoto users, it's a learning curve.EOS R5, Rf 14-35L@ 35mm, f/20, 15sec, ISO-100EOS R5, Rf 14-35L@ 35mm, f/20, 15sec, ISO-100

TREVOR, that’s a great shot!

It has become difficult to capture shots like this in my neck of the woods because they have installed tall screens/fences on overpasses to prevent people from dropping objects onto passing vehicles.

Thanks Bill! 😊  It was taken from a pedestrian overpass in the downtown area of Auckland city during the evening commute about a month ago.   I personally find the range enough for my purposes and the lens has several virtues:  it's got a good constant aperture of f/4, it's sharp, has OIS ( and can work with IBIS) and it has a flat front element that takes a filter with no adapter required.  Works for me.

As Ernie say, rumors are just that, and in the end one has to work with what one can get.  It's been on the road map for a long time, and I guess it's range of 10-24 is a challenging one.
