Hi All,
I have been using Canon for around 14 years now.
I bought a 2nd hand T5 (550D) which I used up to 2022 when it finally gave up on me.
I got it with the standard 18-55 and also bought a sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG Macro.
I replaced it with the T8 (850D) after the T5 stopped working.
I am a real estate photographer and amateur wild life photographer. The issue I am seeing is that when using the Sigma lens that the images are a bit blurred despite taking necessary steps to make sure that the camera is stable and even having a higher shutter shutter speed on TV mode.
* TV @ 1/1250; F4 / F5.6, ISO 400
The images when using my canon 10-18 lens for real estate are fine so I am leaning towards an issues with the Sigma.
Has anybody else experienced any issues either using the same camera or even a different camera.
Thanks In Advance.
Gwia

These are downsized to jpeg as the originals are CR3 RAW.

It's very hard to gauge the full level of resolution, or lack thereof from downsized JPG files. Some look fine to me, some look like they might have issues from focusing distance or lack of focus.
It would be better, if you can, to share the CR files via a file sharing site and provide the link here. For example, MS Onedrive or Dropbox, that way we can get a lot more data including the EXIF info.

I agree they look pretty darn good to me actually. I suspect some focus issues or motion perhaps. I don't think we need to see full res copies if you are getting those results with your lenses. I'd say watch settings a shooter technique and enjoy your gear.

The one image of the bat (I guess) has questionable camera settings. 108mm, ISO 800, f4, SS 1/40, it would take an extremely solid hold to get a sharp photo with these settings. This is why I advise to check camera settings and user technique. I know its not a popular thing to say but most all camera issues are user related and not gear related.

The image of the black and white bird have proper settings and the photo shows it. It is a very nice shot! 😊

Thank you all for your responses. It is greatly appreciated.
Perhaps it is just my eyesite then... 😀😂😀
Perhaps as they are a bit darker than normal they look a little blurry.
My next mission is to test on another body and also lighten them up a little.

Not many people will be able to hold steady enough to get a super sharp shot with a 1/40 SS and a 100mm lens. The SS should be more near 1/200 and at least 1/100 SS. Technique is key.
