I just bought a RF14 35mm L f4, and I found out sometime there is a very annoy hunting issue @35mm when it is in a short distance (the distance is still longer than the minimum distance this lens required) with servo autofocus mode and point autofocus mode. The autofocus was hunting rapidly back and forth until I zoom out or change to a further distance. I saw other user complained online since 2021, I am just curious whether there is a solution for this issue?

Welcome to the Canon Community.
The behavior that you describe seems normal, to me. The MFD specification is most likely only applies to the shortest zoom setting.
It is normal for MFD to increase as the focal length increases. This is how the vast majority of lenses work.

I suspect the above answer is correct but you might try One shot.

In addition if this hunting issue happens when shot at horizontal, it will disappear if I turn the camera to vertical. It could be related to something EOS R camera autofocus system, even it isn’t obviously on other RF lens.
