Yes it should. The EOS Rebel 2000 uses the EF lens mount which the 1D2 will certainly takes.

The 1D Mk II is a great work horse. What lenses do you intend on transferring to it? With great glass you can really show off the ability of a 1 series camera. They are in a league of their own.
I have a Mk II and a Mk II N, which I really love. I use them all the time. The advantage with the Mk II N is you can file different files to either card. You can only file the same kind on the original Mk II, like yours.
Plus the Mk II N has a slightly larger LCD screen but at any rate you have a fantastic camera.

You know there is a 1Ds Mk II. Another absolutely fantastic camera that you can enjoy for pennies on the dollar. You know at one time these cameras were several thousand dollars!
