This is a Canon forum. Since you are asking for an alternative, you can visit sites for other lens manufacturers to get an idea about what might be similar from a FL and performance standpoint. Here however, most are going to recommend Canon glass with Canon body's. There are exceptions, but in general, most are going to recommend Canon.
If you have a Canon body and would like some recommendations on Canon glass, let us know what you have. We are happy to try and help, but the answers you might receive may not represent all of the alternative available.
