Cracked lens on RF 100-500

I have a broken lens on my RF 100-500.  Is this something I can send in and have repaired?

Certainly, contact Canon.

Is the lens actually broken of the screw on filter on the front. Post a picture in the forum because what you state is confusing. The RF 100-500mm is a lens.

I contacted Canon and they sent me a form and location to send my RF lens 100-500 to be repaired.  Thanks for the help.

I assume he meant "lens element".

Yes it is been there done that. I don't recommend dropping a camera lens on a McDonald's floor. The floor will win every time! BTW, it is not cheap to replace a front element so sit down when you get an read the estimate.

Not directly on topic but an interesting story (perhaps to some) at the same time at the birthday party I was shooting at a MacDonald's a mother that had a Rebel, also shooting the party, sit her camera down on a table with out a lens she was preparing to change. Well a curious 3 year old thought it was a good place to squirt a package of ketchup.
