I've got a Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L USM (orginal version) and for the second time now it has developed a fault that appears to be part of the optical arrangement becomes out of place. The result is a lens that just has mushy quality all round a centre spot that occupies around 25% of the frame. The centre looks ok, but the edges are mush, it is noticeable in the viewfinder kind of bad.
I have had something similar before with the same lens and it went back to service and was fixed, but now it's doing the same I'm wondering if this model is prone to this kind of issue?

Hi Mike,
Thanks for getting back to me, I'm sure you won't find the repair in your systems since it was repaired at the UK CPS service center. I'll get in touch with them and see what they can do.
Brian
