TS6120 color prints fine but black prints with faded striped

Hello,

I have a TS6120 printer. I've had an issue of black not printing well for awhile. I replaced every single ink cartridge and i'm still seeing an issue. Color prints fine but black words or a black barcode print with blank stripes through them.

I've ran a few tests and ran cleaning cycles. One test prints out a sheet of paper and the printer asked if A or B looks better but I don't see A or B on the paper so I don't understand how to answer that one.

Any ideas please? Thank you!

Hi,

When the nozzle check prints, there should be a grid above the color bars that appear. Please click HERE for an example.

If the grid does not appear after multiple cleanings and deep cleaning then there is a issue with the print head and the printer would require service.

If the printer is in it's 1 year warranty, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for your warranty options. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.

If the printer is out of warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.
