It prints fine from the computer over wifi. When I scan the scanner runs but then gives the error that it can't connect to the computer.

Hi,
When you open IJ Scan Utility to scan, double check to make sure the printer is listed as TS3500 series network. If it is only listed as TS3500 series, click on the printer model and in the drop down, select the network option.
If the issue is not resolved, I recommend reaching out to Canon support for this issue. You will need to register your Canon gear HERE to access additional support options.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks, I checked that and network is the only option. I'm starting to think it's something with my network card. It seems to randomly disconnect. I'm going to try a USB cable connected between the laptop and printer to take wifi out of the equation. I'll post what happens.
