Pixma 6120 photo paper won't load from rear tray.

New printer, I read that I must use the rear tray for photo paper but try as I might I can't get it to load. It keeps referring me back to the casette. Before I read that the rear tray was for photos I managed to print from the casette tray but the borders weren't correct either, would that be print alignment? That gets bogged down too. Of course support is closed for the weekend and the holiday and I have a presentation due Wednesday, any help?! Thanks!!
