I have a Pixma TS9521c printer and a Mac computer. A few days ago while printing, I received the message that the printer might be out of ink. I purchased a Canon Cyan XL ink cartridge and replaced the old one. Since then I have been unable to print. When I try, I get the message the printer may be out of ink and shows a yellow cartridge with the message.
The information on the front of the printer shows all cartridges full and the WiFi icon has a red X on it.. Today, even though I didn't see any way the yellow could be empty, I replaced it. Nothing has changed.
I unplugged the printer last night and plugged it in today hoping that maybe that would fix things but it didn't. Still need ink and still offline.
Hopefully someone knows what could be going on. I appreciate any help anyone can give.

I have been unable to find a solution. If I go to the Gateway, my printer does not show as a connected device.
Should I just uninstall the printer and reinstall it as described here?

Yes, I suggest you try that step to get the printer to communicate with your computer.
If that doesn't resolve your problem register your product as described on the support page and contact Canon support.

Thank you. I will try that tomorrow after I uninstall. Could having a new router have anything to do with this?
Also, when I replaced a Windows computer with a Mac, I downloaded this file- CANON_IJ_ to install the printer. It contains Setup. Can I use this SETUP Icon? It's been about a year and a half ago.

I was unable to reinstall the printer. It had to be done from the printer and all would ok until it asked for the router name. I typed in the latest router name, the old router name, and many other names but none of them worked. I tried the next day with the same results. In looking over my notes from past issues, I saw that I had to install from the printer instead of the Canon web site.
I have a TS6320 printer to install now. It was on a list of "Best Printers for a Mac" list. My grandson has a Windows computer so I am giving the TS9521C to him. There are a few things that it would not do on a Mac.
Thanks to all who replied.

Use this link: https://canon.us/TS9521Csetup
It should uninstall and reinstall all of the necessary software and re-pair your printer with your WiFi unless your WiFi is incompatible with your printer.
