I was changing the ink cartridges in my printer and found that one of them would not come out. Being impatient, I pulled it out with my pliers and now the new cartridge will not snap in, which means it does not register with the printer. I must have snapped the piece that it clips onto.
Is there a way to hold it in so it will work, or can the housing for the cartridges be repaired?

Greetings,
Here are the instructions for changing inks in your TS8320.

I cannot speculate if your printer is damaged. I hope not. There is no way to keep a cartridge in place if the retention mechanism is broken. The printhead holder will likely need to be replaced. Wish I had better news for you.
