Removed my old Canon 5300 and installed a new Pixma TR 7020a on my windows computer.
Printing works even from my phone but when I tried to scan a document to my computer I got an error that there was no communication. Searched around and found that in the scan box on the computer it lists my old Canon 5300 as the only choice to scan. My TR7020a is not a choice and I can not figure out how to change that. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Sometimes an install misses something during the process. I think this may help you. I ran into kinda the same situation when replacing a Canon printer with a new one myself. The first download did not include scanner driver. Could be yours did not either, so try this one:

The video shows how to install the wireless connection for your new printer if you want to connect that way. Personally I prefer USB unless connecting from a mobile device.
