PIXMA MG7520 Will not Connect to Win 11 PC, Do I need Special Driver?

CactusPete23

I just got a "new in unopened box" PIXMA MG7520 Printer from my Brother.   I have tried many times to install software and drivers from Canon Support,  But in Windows 11 File Explorer it only shows up as a U"SB Drive D:"

Would appreciate any help or ideas.

I am using a known good USB cable.  I have restarted the computer several times.

Trying to run " mp68-win-mg7500-1_01-ejs.exe " from Canon Support; but installation fails near the end when it cannot detect the printer.  Have rerun this 10 times, and same issue each time.

Is this printer no longer compatible with Windows 11 ?  If I need a Driver, where can I find one, and how to install.

( Have tried installing all possible support software and drivers from CANON Support  already.)

Thanks

Did you install this driver?

Thanks John.  Yes, I have tried installing that file. ( mp68-win-mg7500-1_01-ejs.exe )

At about 90% through installation I get this Image below:  Cable is good, even tried another one.  But seems like the Win11 Laptop still cannot "see" the printer.   Re-starting computer does not help. (Was hoping the driver might have needed a re-boot to fully install...  but no dice.)

Hi.
Register your product on the Canon support site and give Canon a call at 1-800-OK-CANON.
