PIXMA G7020 behaves as if it is out of ink - but there is a lot of ink in the tank

My printer is MegaTank PIXMA G7020 Wireless All-in-One Printer, approx 2 years old.

After happy usage of this printer for several years, I suddenly get the printed pages partially without black ink as well as some of the color inks as well.So far I did not have to add any ink and all of my tanks are nearly full.

I tried all built-in maintenance tasks (cleaning, deep cleening, head alignments) without addressing the problem. I even tried the "flush ink" without being aware of the existence of the maintanance cartridge, so I did not dare to do this more than once.

I will appreciate any advice - thanks

Thank you Arthur - in the meantime that all my efforts to unclog the jets (I believe that this was my problem, likely caused by not frequent enough use of the printer). So, it works now as new.

Hi,

You have done everything we would suggest with the cleanings and ink flush. Since the issue is not resolved the printer would require service.

Since the printer is outside of the 1 year factory warranty, you would qualify for the Canon Upgrade program. This is for out of warranty units which have been diagnosed to require service or are incompatible with a new or upgraded system. This program allows you the opportunity to purchase a replacement product discounted from the list price. Free ground shipping is included with your purchase.

If you would like to take advantage of this offer, please call our Sales Department at (866) 443-8002 Mon-Sat, 9 AM to 9pm EST excluding holidays.
