MX922 no longer printing black

I have demonstrated, changed cartridge, turned off and on. Still no black.

What am I missing?

Hi T4mls.

 

The steps to correct a lack of black print are:

 

  1. Check that the vent on top of the PGI-250 BK ink cartridge isn't obstructed (GUIDE).

  2. Reinsert the PGI-250 BK ink tank, then perform a Nozzle Check (GUIDE).

  3. If the black net pattern (PGBK) doesn't show up at the top, perform a Print Head Cleaning (GUIDE) followed by another Nozzle Check.

  4. If there's no progress after the first cleaning, repeat steps 2 and 3 once.  If progress is seen, repeat steps 2 and 3 as necessary to clear the nozzle until the black net pattern matches the example..

  5. If no progress is seen after two cleanings and nozzle checks, perform a Deep Cleaning (GUIDE) followed by another Nozzle Check.
