I have set the machine to print from cassette and also set this in the printer driver (Win 7 Pro 32 bit) where duplex is ticked.
The messages come up that the printing will be from the rear tray and then that there is no paper.
Inserting paper and touching OK gets the job done, including the duplex, but for a long print run this is not convenient.
I would appreciate any ideas on cause and cure. Many thanks in anticipation.

Me too. Just started mid printing sessions this morning. Will suddenly only recognise the rear tray which is inaccessible and has never been used in all the years I have used the printer. Presumably I need a new printer which only has a cassette.

I had this problem when printing from Outlook. Was able to go into preferences, then Define Styles and then from there set paper source to cassette and now it does print from the cassette instead of the rear tray. I guess the question that will never be answered is how in the middle of the night this setting changed itself.
