MG56XX Error 1403

We own a CANON MG5610 THREE-IN-ONE multi-function and apparently this was the worst decision we took a few years ago. This is a company that obviously does not care for the environment nor its customers.

Why does it say that my print head is wrong if we have used ONLY original Cannon ink? Even if the print head is damaged WHY does it block the customer from using the SCANNER, which obviously does NOT need the print head? This is the perfect example of a company that has lost touch with its user base. I have not changed the printhead nor used illegal cartridges, so why is it suddenly the "wrong" print head?

If the printhead is DAMAGED (wasted money on original cartridges) I can understand that both the COPY and PRINT functions are not possible, but you do NOT need the printhead to SCAN!!! why on earth is it blocking me from using the SCAN function of my device? You canon make it look as if I got the device as a charity from you, but no, I am a PAYING customer and I do not appreciate obscure business practices like this, disabling my whole device only because of some other part.

I will never again buy a CANON device, that is a fact unless I get this working again. I will not take it to a "service hub" which changes for "diagnosis" and then charging me the same or more than it would cost to buy a new unit (and cause damage to the environment by dumping ALL THESE TOXIC MATERIALS).

Yesterday I urgently needed to print a document when this Canon paper weight left me stranded and I cannot even use the SCAN function which would be useful to me.

LESSONS LEARNED:

1. Buying from Canon is not a good idea

2. Spending money on original cartridges is of no use, the result will be the same sooner or later

Additionally, the firmware is made by amateur programmers or designed by corrupt IT managers that built-in these corrupt practices and stay silent. With this error you cannot even go into a menu, not even the maintenance menu. SHAME on you canon!

I also cleaned the cartridges and the print head to no avail.
