MG3530 error message "U052" "The type of print head is incorrect. Install the correct print head."

MG5350 Printer. Error U052 "The type of print head is incorrect. Install the correct print head." This message appeared after I installed NON-genuine Canon cartridges. I have cleaned the print head, but the error is still there. Before I buy a new print head or printer, would resetting the printer to factory settings help? If so, could you please inform me as to the procedure. Thanks for your time. Kind regards, Billy.

Please search for u052 in this forum and select "Call to arms for dreaded u052 wrong print head" . You will find 121 pages with 1202 messages of people with this error. Most of us have tried unsuccessfully to correct this error. Sometimes you think you have corrected it only to have it reoccur. I review the forum all the time in case Canon comes through with a correction to the message. In the meantime I am now using an Epson printer.
