I have a MG5420. I replaced low ink cartridges but the printer still won't print

I have an MG5420 printer. I recently replaced two low ink cartridges and all lights are now on for all cartridges, indicating that they were installed correctly. However, the computer won't print anything because it still thinks the ink is out. I can't figure out how to override this condition.

Hello.

Make sure that new, genuine Canon brand ink tanks are being used with the printer.  Tanks that have been refilled or manufactured by a third party may not be detected properly.
