I followed the advice posted two years ago (in Apple Communities) by VikingOSX and downloaded Canon Printer Drivers v3.4 for OS X. Looked like it worked for folks running the original MI chip - up to Big Sur 12.0. However, it does not work for 12.1. Printer works fine wirelessly, and I am happy that this all-in-one still has photo quality equal or better than almost all the newer AIO units out there. Moreover, I despise the idea of tossing a perfectly good AIO into the ecosystem if there is any way to avoid it. For now, I still have my 2012 iMac running 10.5 or thereabouts - but if there was a previous work around two years ago, there must be an update for12.1 by now...
