Could I get a manual for my PIXMA MX490 ? I can't seem to get the CD to run.

This is my first experience with a Canon product and I can't believe how lousy the instructions are. i can't get the CD to run and I have entered my passcode about 10 times now, finally figuring out how to do that from this forum-- but the printer still won't print! Very frustrating. I had my HP printer for nearly 20 years, but the Canon was on sale and seemed reasonable-- it really shouldn't be this hard to set up a printer!!  A hard copy of the manual would be very helpful or a copy online, which is what I will search for next.
