New Canon 241XL Fine Color cartridge defective
Only prints Magenta - tried in 2 different PIXMA MG3620 printers - Both printers work great with other 241XL 's -
Tried cleaning and deep cleaning, cleaning contacts and reset printers - This one cartridge 241XL just will not work.
Both printers show the cartridge full.
How do I go about returning this cartridge to Canon and getting a replacement cartridge ?
Thank you, Jerry B.

Hi jerrybrinkley,
Please contact one of Canon's Technical Support Representatives via phone or chat. To contact a Technical Support Representative, please use the link below to log into your My Canon account:
https://mycanon.usa.canon.com
Once logged in, click on your PIXMA MG3620 and then click on the Product Support button. When that page loads, click on either the Phone Support button or the Chat Support button to access support. A Technical Support Representative will assist you with your CL-241XL ink cartridge.

Patrick, Thank you for your response. BUT once I log in I get " Welcome to your Canon Account Jerry "
Then it says " Looks like you don't Have any registered products ". Should I register the printers ?
One was bought 03/11/2019 and the other about the same time. Where do I go from here ?
Thanks, Jerry B.

Hi jerrybrinkley,
Please register your printer. Once you register, you can speak with a representative. I am unable to promise anything, but based on what you described, a new cartridge may be able to be sent to you.

Patrick, Thanks for your help. I registered the printer and then went to Product Support and it said I would need to pay $19.99 for support.
So I give up. Again, THANKS for trying to help. I'm almost 82 years old and not sure how long can I last with all this confusion.
Hoping, wherever you are, have a great Thanksgiving and the happiest of holidays.

Inkjet cartridges don't have unlimited shelf lives. Five-year-olds can very well be dried up enough to clog them irretrievably. Do the boxes have expiration dates on them?

Thank you but the cartridge was only 3-4 months old and I had tossed the box out as it was our trash recycling day. Again, THANKS but will go a different direction.

Greetings,
The product in question here is an ink cartridge, not a printer. If you purchased the cartridge directly from Canon, I'd contact the sales team and explain the problem. You'll need proof of purchase to do so. If the purchase was made through the Canon online store, Canon will have a record of this.
If you purchased the cartridge from a retailer, a replacement request can be made through them. They will require proof of purchase too.
