Canon Pixma MG7720 PGBK cartridge not printing

The PGBK cartridge on my Canon Mg7720 has stopped working.  I ran all of the cleaning and alignment processes but no joy.  When I print the test page, the PGBK line is blank.  It is a fairly new ink cartridge, and the printer does not indicate that there is a problem with the ink level.

I've had the same probl;em - did you ever solve yours? I notice the original reply didn't even read your problem and responded with just what you had already tried.

I had the same issue, I discovered that I had not removed all the plastic from the top of the cartridge when pulling off the orange plastic. The vent hole was still covered so the ink did not get released from the cartridge.
