Canon Pixma MG2522 is detected by my computer but not the driver software

Pshurtleff

The win-mg-2500-1_1-ucd file I downloaded for my Canon Pixma MG2522 will detect my printer install the software and verify the installation then say it can't detect the printer. I've followed the help advice to restart the computer and the printer but to no avail.  The computer detects the printer when I hook it up and disconnect by signaling with a beep but the driver software program mentioned here keeps detecting the printer and then not detecting it and I can't hook up my computer to my printer.  I'm using Windows 11 on a HP laptop.

The problem resolved itself.  I got a error window that said to repair damaged driver code, or something like that, and I clicked it and it repaired the problem and fixed it.  Otherwise I pretty much did the reload thing and it didn't resolve the issue.
