PIXMA iX6820 Error Code 6A81

I purchased this printer on November 18th. Since then, I've been using it often (at least 3-4 times a week). Today, I successfully printed on glossy paper as usual, then the printer's power and error lights began flashing. My computer had a popup saying that the error code was 6A81.

I checked inside the printer and saw no paper jam. I can move the print head manually and saw nothing obstructing it. I have power cycled the printer several times, but it still throws the same error each time it is powered on after power cycling.

Please advise.

It is the print head carriage alarm. If you cannot see any obstruction check to see if any part looks like it is misaligned or not moving smoothly.

I checked again. Everything seems to be moving smoothly as I push the print head manually. It doesn't move off course or anything. No strange sounds can be heard when I move it.

It may be caused by a part that has unattached itself, take a flashlight and check the inside bottom of the printer closely, see if anything, a spring, white plastic lever, is down there somewhere, but since the printer is new, you may want to see if you can return it to the place of purchase (I know its over 30 days) or contact Canon customer service and find out what Canon can do to remedy this. Most printer repair videos that I have found that address this error, the printer is taken almost completely apart. If support is on the phone and guides the repair person through the process (which as a factory authorized computer techy, I did that many times) is one thing  but I don't think you want to do that do you?
