I have a pixma 922, the black nozzle check is coming out black and gray. The pritining reflects that, black text comes out gray and black, it appears that one size of the nozzle head is not working. I tried nozzle alignment, cleaning, deep cleaning, changing out both black inks, taking out nozzle head and manually cleaning it with warm water and then alcohol and nothing is working. This might be a software issue. I have attached a nozzle check for reference.

Based of the steps you have taken and how the nozzle check looks, the issue is with the print head and not any software.
