Is my understanding correct that "booklet" is used for printing small "books" that can be stapled in the middle? And that when you print a pdf or document it should sort the pages out so they can be read as if it were a book?
When I select "booklet" it does not do that. It just prints like I had selected landscape, 2up, duplex, and stapling the top right corner, which is not what is wanted. Shouldn't it be reordering the pages so you could read them in order like a book?
What do I need to do to get the pages to print correctly as if I were going to read them in a book?

Hi there.
The Booklet page layout prints two or more pages on the same sheet of paper, sequentially, so that the paper may be folded and (if more than one sheet's worth are printed) stapled in the middle. The finer settings may be achieved by clicking on the Specify button, within the Page Setup tab.
Booklet format does not reorder the pages, and may not be able to scale pages of preset size (such as from a PDF). Pages are scaled down to fit, and PDF fonts are fixed-size in relation to their pages (when the page shrinks, so does the font in equal measure), whereas a word document may be reformated in-program to accommodate the smaller page size before printing.
The "Left side stapling" in the Booklet layout's Specify menu is the traditional western "book binding" (on the left side). "Right side stapling" would be as traditional Japanese printing (binding on the right side). Duplex printing (if supported by the printer) will allow you to print
If you wish to reorder or edit the PDF's pages, you must do so before printing in Booklet format. If you wish to confirm that the print out put will appear as desired, you may enable Preview before printing in the printer driver.
